Fabulous & Functional Coasters
Mrs. Jill Bagnall

I design & make contemporary kilnformed glass; home accessories, art, awards and bespoke gifts. My studio is near the Shropshire Hills close to the border, and is open by arrangement.
William Morris’s maxim; “Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful” underpins my work and I have made it my ‘mission’ to create visual, tactile pieces that are both usable and stylish or ‘fabulously functional’!

Details about work or recent projects

I am essentially self taught through trial and test. A long term creative, glass was a hobby that turned passion.
The colours in my media inspire me and my work is often in striking colour combinations.
My skill base is almost continuously expanding yet there is so much I still want to learn and so many different interpretations of 'kiln-formed' that my 'art in waiting' list is as long as..... I'm always aiming for something new.
