I create work for a variety of contexts and sell through galleries and by commission. My work includes sculptural objects as well as more obviously functional pieces such as lighting and screens.
Most recently, my work has formed part of an experimental research enquiry into the use of ‘technology’ in synthesis with traditional glass-making processes.
The work draws on techniques and processes including hand-modelling; computer modelling; water-jet cutting, CNC milling and traditional lost-wax casting. Further refinements are made through a range of cold-working processes. The work seeks to bring about a synthesis of these processes, with the intention that technique is worn lightly.
