Thinking and design time are my most important building blocks. They are such an enjoyable part of the creative process!
Colour, form, movement and light are prime motivators in my work.
Newness is my challenge.
I am a designer-maker of cast and kiln formed glass. I will be graduating from UCA Farnham in June 2013. My designs come from a wealth of experience in environmental design and archaeology. I make architectural pieces as well as functional and sculptural objects.
Nathalie, born in France, is the creative force behind Louise Ashton Design. During the 3 years she spent in the US, Nathalie enrolled at the Studio, in Corning (NY). She currently lives in the United Kingdom, where she makes all of her jewellery, emphasizing her flair for color, quality and style.
Alison Lowry graduated in 2009 with a first class honours degree from the University of Ulster. With a background predominately in stitch, it was during her final year that she started to work with glass and has never looked back since! Her unique sculptures and installations combine Irelands textile heritage with more traditional glass fusing techniques.
