26th International Summer Art Academy Bild-Werk Frauenau

A New Era of Hot Glass in Bild-Werk Frauenau

That is what Bild-Werk had to wait for for a long time: With the firing up of a new hot glass furnace in early summer 2013 the hot heart of Bild-Werk will start to beat again! The internationally renowned glass artists Karen Willenbrink-Johnsen (USA), Scott Chaseling (AUS) and Rike Scholle (D) will make it pulsate, and the new studio furnaces will add many creative impulses to the exciting variety of hot and cold glass, that make up the core of the course program of the Bild-Werk Frauenau Academies.

This year Bild-Werk Frauenau again invites for its international academy with a comprehensive course program that combines the immense variety of creating with glass with painting, sculpture, wood print, voice work and much more. 18 out of the 39 courses offered are dedicated to artistic work with glass, and will be lead by outstanding representatives of the international glass art scene:
