This half day course covers the fascinating technique of fusing in a standard domestic microwave. You will make several small items including jewellery pieces and small tiles, which are fused, annealed and cooled before your eyes.

The past, present and future of microwave fusing is discussed cutting, various fusing materials and how they work together. The course also covers technical explanations, how glass behaves when heated and cooled, and why some glasses are not compatible with others.

You will only need to bring a sturdy pair of shoes, as all materials, glass, tools and safety equipment are provided. We also supply refreshments on site.

N.B. This course runs from 9.30am - 12.30pm.
