Explore Santa Fe: Travelogue, with Silvia Levenson
August 26-30, 2014

Just as we use glass containers to preserve food and wine, so too can we use glass as a material to preserve our memories. As a student in this unique five-day kilncasting workshop, you will make a Travel Journal by reproducing textiles, textures, plants, etc., to create visual and tactile mementos of your journey. In the process, you’ll discover creative strategies and build critical and technical skills under personalized instruction from artist Silvia Levenson.

You'll spend part of each day immersed in Santa Fe's riches, including natural areas, museums, and built environments to gather inspiration. The balance of the day will be intensive studio time at Bullseye Resource Center Santa Fe. Most evenings, students are free to explore the many pleasures of this historic, arts-rich city.
