Introducing the third speaker for the event…Kate Pasvol- she is a glass artist working in North London with her roots in Wales.

Kate is fascinated by the way glass can be used to manipulate light. She intends to capture the feeling of motion and excitement as the drama of the landscape unfolds within her work.

Her most recent work is made up of single and multiple glass blocks containing three dimensional images that reflect intricate landscapes based on memories of her own walks in the countryside.

The Society of Designer Craftsmen is excited to welcome you to our next in-person event, SDC Celebrates Discovering Your Process—an inspiring afternoon dedicated to craftsmanship, creativity, and the personal journeys behind the making.

Join us as we explore the stories of four talented makers from diverse craft disciplines—Emma Rosa MSDC (Mixed Media Botanical Sculpture), Greg Kent (Wood Turning and Sculpture), Kate Pasvol (Fused Glass), and Ali Holloway MSDC (Hand Woven Textiles). Each artist will share insights into their individual creative processes, how they discovered their unique approach, and how it continues to evolve.

As with all SDC events, we hope to spark curiosity, encourage conversation, and deepen appreciation for materials and craft. In addition to artist talks, there will be live demonstrations from Ali Holloway MSDC (Hand Woven Textiles), Ksenia Semirova LSDC (Luneville Embroidery), Margaret Jones FSDC (Tapestry Weaving), Sumi Perera FSDC (Printing & Bookbinding) and Kayley Holderness FSDC (Ceramics), alongside a craft showcase in the beautiful setting of The Art Workers' Guild, London.
