Patricia Hilton-Robinson
Glass Engraver

Trained and practised as a Physical Education teacher specialising in dance and drama Patricia first discovered glass engraving whilst on a school trip to Austria where she was fascinated by the copper wheel engravers. She did not however take it any further until 1991 when she started to study engraving under teachers from the Guild of Glass Engraving. She was elected as an Associate Fellow of The Guild of Glass Engravers in 2002.Patricia uses mainly "drill engraving" although recently her work has broadened to include "graal", stipple and cameo techniques. Her first Cameo piece, "Inspiration through the Generations", was recently selected for exhibition at the Victoria & Albert Museum, London as part of their "Inspired by the V&A" 2003 competition.Examples of her work can been seen in many countries around the world including USA, Canada, Lebanon and Qatar. Patricia is happy to discuss and undertake commissions.
