My first encounters with kiln formed glass were on a Foundation in Art and Design course in 2000. I was immediately captivated by the process. I spent 3 years on a part time Fine Art degree before getting my own kiln and following my instincts to make glass !
Details about work or recent projects
I make expressive glass pieces that have a painterly quality to them. Inclusions of metal leaf and wire enable me to 'draw' within the glass. Much of my work involves repeated images and pattern making drawn from observation of the world around me.
