I completed a BA Degree in Design with Surface Pattern and Glass in 2000 and then developed the ‘artlounge’, an art gallery selling over 180 artist’s work, with exhibitions, art and craft classes and community projects. During this time I sold my own work. With a change of occupation for a time I then in 2012 completed a Masters Degree in Design, Ceramics and Glass at UCLAN
In first seeking success in the world of art I studied and investigated form and surface through drawing and mixed media, and learning techniques to manipulate and create with glass, clay and carving stone. Light and shadow, colour and surface continuously play on my mind encouraging forms to emerge. The heart of my creative endeavours are bound in, knowledge, truth and the joy of making.
My first collection of glass pieces produced in 2011 titled ‘Garden Series’ has been exhibited and sold in ‘Gallery 25’ in Chinon, the Loire Valley, France where I live for part of the year.
'Inspired by the sea', a collection of wall panels, platters and vessels are my recent creations.
