Celebrations is the CGS Exhibition at the International Festival of Glass in 2017 as part of our 20th Anniversary.
124 CGS members made a piece of glass that celebrates any event of special importance, however big or small.
All work is for sale and might be the perfect present you are looking for, for that special occasion. Come and find the live exhibition in the Ruskin Centre.

This sweet blue stained glass piece celebrates love, that greatest of emotions. The handcrafted glass hearts are complemented with wire heart echoes on an abstract, layered glass background. Traditional copper foil technique was used to form the design and the wires were finished with delicate solder blobs. To make a contrast with the glass and enhance the sweeps of the design, the solder and wire have been given a black patina.
At just 15cm tall, this panel is a perfect size to sit on a shelf or mantlepiece. Treat someone special (or yourself?) with this mini work of art that is handmade with love and totally unique.

album (Alice in Wonderland was part of the inspiration for John Lennon's
'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds') by including some of the lyrics of their appropriately titled song
'Birthday' (not from Sgt. Pepper's of course!).

This sweet blue stained glass piece celebrates love, that greatest of emotions. The handcrafted glass hearts are complemented with wire heart echoes on an abstract, layered glass background. Traditional copper foil technique was used to form the design and the wires were finished with delicate solder blobs. To make a contrast with the glass and enhance the sweeps of the design, the solder and wire have been given a black patina.
At just 15cm tall, this panel is a perfect size to sit on a shelf or mantlepiece. Treat someone special (or yourself?) with this mini work of art that is handmade with love and totally unique.
