Melissa Mansfield
I have worked with the lovely medium of glass since 2019 in South East London since retiring as a special teacher and dyslexia assessor, where I worked for 30 years. My inspiration comes from working with students with learning difficulties as well as my own experience of physical and mental health problems. This year I am enrolled on a 2 year part time MA course in Glass at UCA Farnham.
My more recent work features my perception of my thought processes and my individual learning style. I am fascinated by spontaneity in art and my glass pieces reflect the tension between methodology and chance. .
