Becca's art reflects a background in science, an analytical approach and a lifetime working with data. Pattern and structure are important elements of her working life which flow through to her fused glass.
Becca has been exploring how patterns in the textiles by contemporary weavers can be recreated in glass, as well as patterns from science, maths and nature such as electrophoresis and Penrose tiling. Much of Becca’s work uses a strip-cut technique to create intricate patterns.
