Bente Brekke

I am living in Norway and have my MA in Glass and Ceramics from Sunderland, UK. Glass is a fascinating material that can be shaped in many directions, from the fragile, beautiful, and alluring to the rough, dangerous, and impenetrable. I am driven by its possibilities and challenges. I explore ideas and techniques, and I am drawn to the beauty of the accidental and imperfect. I hope to create works that invite reflection.

My work is inspired by nature and humanity, and ‘Too Close’ is an ongoing theme. The impossibility of fully understanding meanings, connections, and consequences in our relationship.
