Catherine Evans

I am a Glass Designer with an interest in creating ethereal forms that sit as stand-alone, beautiful artefacts. My use of hot glass leads to fluid, fabric-like objects due to the uncontrolled and rapid creation process, forcing me to work quickly and efficiently within the workshop. My work originates in using my own and my mother’s hands which have a basis in feelings of comfort and linking with our innate desire for human contact and touch.
