Lisa Coles

I am an artist working with kiln formed glass. I specialise in making 2-dimensional, freestanding art pieces, and occasionally vessels. I am drawn to both the strength and fragility of kiln formed glass and my part in being able to manipulate and control it. I also enjoy experimenting with the transformative effects of differing lighting conditions on my work. I use texture and light refraction to convey atmosphere, light, and depth. By incorporating elements like silver leaf, copper, mica, and dichroic glass I can create dynamic visual experiences. I also offer classes and workshops in fused glass. Working with glass is a compulsion and so most days I can be found in my studio located in the beautiful Wye Valley.

I am a member of the Made-in-Ross Art Collective based in Ross on Wye, Herefordshire.
