Maria McCann
I live and work in Wiltshire, England. I have a passion (some may call it an addiction) for glass. I started out as a stained glass artist in 2006, creating windows, suncatchers and 3D items including boxes and clocks. Then I discovered warm glass. I got the bug for kiln formed glass in 2011 and haven't looked back! I've also tried my hand at glass-blowing, but warm glass remains my love. I am continually trying new techniques and producing one-off pieces. I have a small studio at home and am the proud owner of Gerta, my Nabertherm GF75 kiln. I mainly use Bullseye glass, but also have a small stash of Spectrum S96 Fusers Reserve that I use for a small number of statement pieces. I take a limited number of commissions. Examples of my work can be seen on my gallery site: www.glassy-art.co.uk
Recent commissions include large bespoke focal point bowls and functional platters
