I am fascinated by the visual qualities of glass: the interplay between colour, light and translucency and also the sense of movement within thick bodies of glass. Inspired by natural, organic and modular forms, my sculptures arise from memories or feelings associated with some event or experience. The journey of each, from first sketches through to working on the piece itself, allows me to process the thoughts and feelings that were their initial inspiration.

Showing at the International Festival of Glass, August-September 2012 and featured on ‘Handmade Revolution’, BBC2, to be aired October 2012.
