Pauline Grace

Pauline is a glassblower interested in recycling, re-using and up-cycling. Currently an Associate in glass at Heart of England Glass Centre, she has gained experience in kiln, cold and hot glassblowing. Exploring the way in which glass art can help understand social issues and create meaningful ways of understanding different narratives. “ten years ago I became immersed in a magical world of glass, especially the mixing of old and new. My glass is a celebration of intricate painting and naive but arresting images.“

My most recent recent collection is based on exploring grief, loss and memento mori. The inevitability of death, coupled with the recent global pandemic have illustrated painfully for many including me that life is fleeting and death is certain.
I have stablished a new enterprise of glass fusing courses working at taster and beginner levels across the West Midlands.
