Shivashtie is a sculptor and artist working in a variety of media including ceramic, glass, metal, wood, brick and various painting mediums. Shivashtie explores reality and perception and works intuitively, letting materials speak for themselves and combining materials in ways which invite the viewer to question what they see.
Shivashtie uses glass for its ability to see through – focussing on what is happening inside rather than what is on the surface. It is with this in mind that Shivashtie’s glass heads are devoted to looking beyond the outside to the imaginations of the world within.
