Ground Up Exhibition, in Kings Lynn
Liz Waugh McManus has artwork in Ground Up exhibition at GroundWork Gallery in King’s Lynn which showcases artistic responses to the Ground Up Extraction IV residency this Summer. The show continues until 14 December.
As the only glass artist, her focus was ’silica’ and the local extraction of sand from Sibelco quarry which supplies most of the British glass industry.
She also looked at local history of glass-making from medieval times to the 20th century, and experimented with forest glass-making recipes.
