I am a kiln caster, mould maker and problem solver. I studied at Wolverhampton University (some time ago now) and I have worked with Amanda Brisbane, sand-casting glass for 12 years.
I was hooked on glass as soon as I saw it in a molten state, it is complex, mercurial with almost limitless possibilities, which makes it hard for me to work with any other material.
JanHein van Stiphout is a trained sculptor. Born into glass, glass always was and still is ‘his’ material. His concept based work takes the inherent properties of glass such as resilience, flexibility and fragility to the extreme. Nature is regularly a source of inspiration. International exhibitions; work in collection of museums; selected work in New Glass Review; winner of several glass prices.
Peter & Vanda are self-taught glass artists. They draw their creative inspiration from their love of trees, foliage and flowers and how they change and interact with the light of the sun and the passing of the seasons. Their work features the ever changing woodlands and the beauty and diversity of the hedgerow.
