I am a full time second year student studying BA Hons Designer Maker specialising in kiln formed glass. I use glass as a medium in combination with other materials such as pewter to explore concepts of narrative, identity and the experiences we share with objects in relation to the notion of nostalgia.

Coming from a textile background, I have recently discovered glass and am currently experimenting with fusing and slumping to create tactile glass pieces.

Jan Taylor

Jan is a designer and glass artist who lives and works in Cragg Vale in the Calder Valley. She established JNT Glass Design and loves working as part of a team, collaborating with other artists and master craftsmen on bespoke projects.
She designs and makes stained glass windows, hand-painted glass splashbacks and fused glass pieces. Commissions include work for private homes, churches, schools and businesses. She also teaches workshops for groups, schools and individuals.

I work in lead, tiffany and fused glass. Happiest making large windows but enjoy my kiln and smaller projects too

Hamilton Taylor Studio is Sean Taylor & Gillian Hamilton. Sean is a Lampworker and Gillian kiln forms glass.

Pam & Andy Kallender trade as The Glass Barge, designing, making and selling fused glass jewellery around the canal system, from their narrowboat, where they have their workshop and gallery.

The Glass Hub is an educational centre based in South West England where students of all abilities can learn and develop the craft of glassmaking. At The Glass Hub we provide extensive glass-working facilities alongside the support of an excellent, highly qualified and experienced team of tutors to foster individual creative growth and expertise. We offer short courses, masterclasses, longer termly technique-focused classes, and studio/equipment hire.
