I discovered the love of glass at Hereford college of Art where I studied for a foundation degree. I followed this up with an MA at Swansea Met. I have gone on to practice from my home studio in the Brecon Beacons.

I have been engraving glass for over 25 years and it has been my main professional activity for the last 20. I was elected a Fellow of the Guild of Glass Engravers in 2000. I work both to commission and for exhibitions.

Tim Carter

Tim’s interest lies in the refractive, reflective and structural properties of glass; how it can be manipulated and decorated to affect the passage of light and colour through it.
The work is formed using a wide variety of materials, techniques and processes, to produce a range of work, which is both sculptural and functional, with an emphasis on design, geometry and construction.

Veronique Cowan

Deborah Timperley is a glass maker whose work has evolved from glass bowls and glass jewellery into pieces which explore a concept. Her current series explores a 'Dialogue at the Threshold' using black glass and 23.5ct gold. The pieces are a combination of open casting and lost wax casting.

Simon Bruntnell

I work from my new studio, Bal Maiden Studio Glass, in West Cornwall. We have over a decade of experience working in glass. We design and produce traditional and modern glass for domestic and architectural spaces. Our bespoke commissioning service offers a wide variety of techniques and finishes including leaded stained glass, fusing, sandblasting, kiln-formed casting and painting. We also offer courses for beginners and workshop facilities for the more experienced.

I am a recently graduated sculptor creating abstract works in cast glass and concrete. The geometric minimalism of my work is influenced by my previous degree in Mathematics, alongside an interest in architecture and the more dramatic landscapes of the natural world. I live and work in Plymouth, finding continual inspiration from the striking beauty of the South West.
