Glass thrills me.Glass excites me.Glass is my drug! I have been working with glass since the early 1980's and love it now as much as I did then! I work in stained glass and incorporate fused glass in my work.

As a maker of fused and decorative stained glass I am working to combine the two. Most recently I have developed my 3D work(Fractale') and I am concentrating on how light projects through colours and patterns onto surfaces.

I am a Design Crafts graduate, specializing in glass blowing. Since exploring a wide range of materials I chose to take glass further as it was immediately appealing to me, especially hot glass because I enjoy the physicality of it.
The fluidity of the material gives me the opportunity to push my ideas into an enhanced conceptual final design.

Chris Wood

Glass is a material which allows me to exploit the aesthetic potential of Light. Minimal structures, support simple arrangements of glass, which interact with light to create complex kinetic patterns of light and shade. My work aims to reveal the wonder and true magic of the phenomenon of light.
