Fiona Fawcett

I am a professional glass artist specialising in kiln formed glass based in Northumberland. I graduated from the University of Sunderland BA(Hons) Glass and Ceramics course in 2015, followed by a year with a commercial architectural glass company as a studio technician. I moved back to Suffolk to concentrate on my own glass work practice and have recently moved to Northumberland where I am establishing my Fired Glass Studio.

My work is influenced by the formation of the natural landscape by geological processes and changes from human interaction. Glaciation and coastal erosion are of particular interest and I use the qualities of the glass to represent features in the landscape and maritime environment.
