Eva Walsh
Eva Walsh graduated from Edinburgh College of Art with a BA (Hons) Glass in 2011, where she specialised in kiln-casting. She has since exhibited her work in the UK, Czech Republic, Denmark and Washington, USA, as well as at home in Ireland.
She operates under the name 'of wings and things' and works from her home studio in rural Co. Sligo in the west of Ireland.
With a background in Fine Art, and a keen interest in fairy tales and Irish culture and folklore, Eva’s glass work currently consists of hand-painted and screen-printed elements on fused glass, creating unique illustrative pieces. This illustrative work can range from small light-catchers, to fused panels, to free-standing sculpture. Eva’s personal work consists of sculptural installation pieces, also inspired by fairy stories and often with a sense of fun and humour.
