My work is driven by a long-standing fascination with the unique qualities of glass—particularly its ability to capture light, movement, and emotion. I began my journey working with stained glass and have since developed a focused practice exploring vitrigraph murrine—a centuries-old Venetian technique reinterpreted through the use of a vitrigraph kiln and contemporary kiln-forming processes. By carefully stacking layers of coloured glass and drawing them in molten form from the kiln, I create intricate rods embedded with detailed internal patterns. These are then sliced, arranged, and transformed through multiple kiln firings into finished works. This process bridges traditional craftsmanship with contemporary methods, resulting in pieces that are both technically refined and visually expressive. My practice combines careful craftsmanship with experimental approaches to create vessels that explore light, pattern, and form.
