Member’s Spotlight

I’m a Helsinki based artist, designer, and scientist (MA & PhD). I’m looking the traditional world of glass art from an unconventional point of view: I’m trained both as a scientist and a designer, and I’m constantly working at the borders of art, science, and design. When not working with art glass, I’m doing research on glass chemistry or managing an art educational company. I work with glassblowing, flame-working, and kiln-forming techniques. As a researcher, I’m interested in the medical applications of glass, the use of specialty glasses in art, and the popularization of science.
