Alexandra Devitt-Lansom

Alexandra resides in the Barossa region of South Australia, Peramangk Nation and has dedicated her career to glass art for three decades, exhibiting both locally and nationally. Her educational background includes a Fine Arts degree with honours and a Master’s degree in Human Rights. In addition to her artistic pursuits, Alexandra has held positions as an Art administrator and Art educator, actively advocating for Human Rights within her community. She has been instrumental in the development of community programs that raise awareness about the Visual Arts, First Nations Peoples, and disability rights.

My recent projects include the Folded Light series, which are small glass sculptural pieces that are both seductive and alluring. Additionally, my home design series titled “Spring” is a collection of the Australian colours during spring in the rural Barossa landscape at dusk, depicted in large colourful glass vases. Other glass artworks include “The Reconciliation Plate,” figurative works in glass and jewellery pendants.
