Bibi Smit

Bibi Smit (Son en Breugel, Netherlands, 1965) is a contemporary artist known for creating sculptures that explore the patterns, colours and movement in nature. Smit’s work has garnered recognition for its ability to evoke emotional responses from viewers while also creating contemplation about our relationship with the natural world. She lives and works in the Netherlands. ​

Smit’s works are part of public collections, including the Mauritshuis Museum in The Hague, the Nationaal Glasmuseum in Leerdam, and the Glasmuseum Lette – Alter Hof Herding in Coesfeld. She has also participated in significant events such as the 60th International Art Biennial in Venice and PAN Amsterdam Art Fair further establishing her presence in the contemporary art scene.
