Member’s Spotlight

Emily J Smith is a stained glass artist and illustrator based in Vermont, USA. Her works primarily employ the copper foil method, with some use of lead came fabrication. After attending Pilchuck Glass School, Emily expanded her artistic practice with traditional glass painting techniques. Drawing from her background in oil painting and wildlife illustration, she creates detailed animal portraits with kiln-fired enamels on vibrant glass compositions. Her works seek to merge the natural world with the otherworldly qualities of glass, reflecting an underlying desire to express magic and wonder in daily life.
