Nora Gaston

I have lived in Canada, Saudi Arabia, N.Ireland and am now settled in Norfolk. Enjoying a challenge, the major part of what I do is glass. All projects start with rigorous drawing and investigation, possibly resulting in collage,a maquette or sculpture. I have just stepped down from The Belfry Arts Centre which I started in 2009 to concentrate on my own work. I still enjoy leading workshops, sharing the agony and exstacy of the creative process. I am also still involved in Arts and Health as I also believe in the restorative power of the creative process.

.Most of the glass work I have done so far has been for architectural site specific commissions. All ten windows in a church in Canada, a window in Belfast City Hall, commissioned by D.H.S.S.,a glass and stainless steel sculpture in Musgrave Park Hospital, In Norfolk I have completed 3 large sculpture commissions in Mundesley, Holt Country Park and Kelling Heath.
