Jo Turner

Jo Turner Stained Glass is a Peak District based practice evolving beyond traditional methods into a broader contemporary glass language. Recent work explores the expressive potential of traditional painted glass, combining line and tone. Alongside this, Jo is developing sculptural approaches through techniques such as pâte de verre and glass casting, allowing for greater texture, depth, and form. Rooted in an ongoing dialogue with landscape and material, the work balances control and spontaneity, embracing process-led outcomes. Sustainability remains central, with a continued commitment to reusing and repurposing glass wherever possible, while expanding the possibilities of the medium through experimentation and thoughtful making.
