I'm Josh Atkinson, the glass artist behind Harbour Art Glass. Working from my North Yorkshire studio, I craft glass vessels, bowls, plates, wall hangings, and sculpture using vitrigraph murrine—an ancient Italian glassmaking technique reimagined through modern kiln work.
Each glass murrine rod is hand-pulled with care, forming the heart of my creations.
My practice blends traditional craftsmanship with contemporary innovation, exploring the interplay of light, pattern, and form. Every piece reflects a quiet narrative—a response to nature, place, and the subtle beauty often overlooked. Through glass, I aim to capture moments of stillness and transformation.
