Member’s Spotlight

Kay is a Stained glass artist working from her studio in Oxfordshire . She designs and makes windows for public buildings and for domestic settings . Kay became a glass artist quite unexpectedly. She was invited to make a back lit window for a hospital unit refurbishment funded through The Kings Fund. Kay had been involved with the unit and this was her first experience of working with glass . Glass artist Vital Peeters became her mentor for this and for subsequent projects. I now have my own glass studio where I work on commissions and from where I run Beginners Stained Workshops on the last Sunday of every month. I am an artist /committee member of Oxford Art Society . I exhibit with them at St John’sCollege , Oxford twice a year or when selected . I am also a member of West Ox Arts and I exhibit annually with Oxfordshire Artweeks. My Nuffield Window is included in the book ‘The Stained Glass and Chapels of Oxford ‘: author Dominic Price. I have been interviewed on the Podcast ‘Art Musings- Art as Healing ‘ available on all podcast platforms.
