Laxmi Priya

Laxmi Priya (Priya Laxmi, 'Little Stone Mosaics') is a contemporary stained glass and ceramic mosaic artist based in the UK, originally from Kerala, South-western part of India. Since beginning her dedicated practice in mosaic art around 2018–2019, Priya has developed a distinct voice within this timeless yet evolving medium. Her works are known for their meticulous detail, rich textures, and masterful use of iridescent glass that transforms with shifting light, creating immersive and contemplative visual experiences.

*Chithrasala Art Gallery in Trivandrum, Kerala, India. (Affiliated to Kerala Lalithakala Akademy, Under Govt of India) – National Exhibition (March 16-March 20, 2025). Through her practice, Priya pushes the expressive boundaries of mosaic art, moving it beyond decorative craft into the realm of fine art. Her work explores the interplay of light, surface, and narrative, contributing meaningfully to the contemporary mosaic landscape. Priya currently works out of her home studio in the North East of England by the River Tyne.
