This year, I was proud to be selected to make a glass roundel for the outgoing Lord Mayor, Sir Alastair King. Picture of the work below.
Continuous motion is the basis of his creative pursuits.
The basis of everything is in constant change.
Everything becomes a continuous process of birth and continued destruction from which nothing escapes.
I use flashed glass which can be etched, painted, stained, enamelled, sandblasted, engraved, adhered laminated. I have a number of exhibition pieces in galleries and on my website
Drawing on the imagery and wonders in the living world around us, Monette examines the concept of beauty within nature exploring molecular structures, nanoscales and mathematics as the foundation for her work. Her current work is influenced by the underlying structures of corals: their shape, growth and movement in the sea.
I took part In Cheltenham Open Studios in June 2019, with great success.
