Tamsin Maliska

Cornish-born glass artist inspired by the ever-changing relationship between the sea and architecture. Her work captures the tension and harmony between natural forms and structured design — expressed through colour, depth and light. Now based in Wiltshire, Tamsin creates bespoke fused glass panels, contemporary home décor, and leads engaging workshops across the region. Her approachable teaching style and passion for sharing creativity make each session a memorable experience. Blending her love of people with her coastal heritage, Tamsin’s work evokes movement, reflection, and a sense of place. Commissions welcome.

Tamsin’s recent work explores the expressive possibilities of glass through a mix of traditional and experimental techniques. Combining enamels, glass paints, printing powders, and reclaimed fragments, she creates layered surfaces rich in colour, texture, and light. Drawing inspiration from the shifting depths and hues of the sea, her pieces capture moments of movement and stillness — echoing the ebb and flow of coastal landscapes. Each artwork is an exploration of how transparency, reflection, and shadow can evoke emotion and atmosphere. By incorporating scrap and sheet glass, Tamsin brings sustainability and spontaneity into her process, transforming overlooked materials into something luminous and new. The results are contemporary, tactile works that invite viewers to look closer and discover the intricate interplay of colour and depth within each piece.
